Pavement sketches, 5/09/22

The cracked and repaired pavements around where I now live have been inspiration for a new batch of sketches and preparatory drawings and paintings.

Like maps and unintentional street art, the cracks, crevices and tributaries created by individuals with a different objective altogether, network around this residential area.

Many dislike this spontaneous and unplanned daubing, I on the other hand, see it as a resource of ideas for paintings yet to come.
